Ethical Standards. Responsible Exploration.

In 2022, the Open Lunar Foundation commissioned an initial framing study into Lunar payload assessment and the prospect of creating a creating a community review process to incroporate broader considerations. That study can be found here.

As part of building on this work, we are undertaking a community survey to surface, synthesise and examine principles for responsible lunar payload development, deployment and activity.

For this, we leverage artificial intelligence, not to draft those principles for us, but to integrate diverse open ended responses by common theme, intent and argument, summarising those responses with specific reference to constitutent contributions. The result, is less an AI drafted work, but rather an AI assisted scaling of collective creativity.

We encourage contributors to answer the questions fully, openly and in whatever fashion they deem appropriate.

Name is not required and is only for personal communication with participants. All data will be treated anonymously.

Expertise in Space?
Do you have any existing academic or professional background in any of these subjects? If so, great. If not, also great! We want to hear from you.
Current Profession?
In which field are you currently (or were you last) employed? If none of the above, no worries. We’re sorry we couldn’t list every possibility.
This is where you get to tell us what you think. How should lunar payloads be assessed? What should be shared? How? Why?

Before You Go…

This is so we can provide updates on the initiative. Your name and email address will not be shared with any 3rd party, including any AI platform used to synthesise and analyse responses.
